Day 240: Loading up for the drive home
Mira had to go home so S helped her load the car (I was not allowed to carry anything!). I already miss her!

Day 239: Baby shower #2
We had our New Haven baby shower and it was a big success. My cousin Mira, S, and I did a lot of prep and I think everything turned out really well. It was great to celebrate with our family and friends.

Day 225: The shower
We had a wonderful time at our baby shower. Lots of great friends, family, food, and fun. It was a lot of work, but I think it was a big success.

Day 190: Farewell
I saw S and Y off at the airport at the start of their long trip to the Maldives. They were very well prepared, thanks to our last day of shopping and packing. I hope they have a great trip!

Day 188: SIL arrives and we go to a party
My sister-in-law arrived today from the west coast via Chicago. We went to dinner, and then we were troopers and made it out to Tariq's party (at 9 PM, no less). Here my sister-in-law is showing Tariq and someone (didn't get her name!) photos on her camera.

Day 136: Lizzy
Lizzy was not happy when we went to meet my sister to exchange the kids, so she sat under the table at the restaurant we met at for a while. Here is a photo I took of her under the table. It was originally upside down, but I turned it around. Her eyelashes are incredibly long!

Day 135: To snowy Chicago
Well, the suburbs actually, but same idea. Here is Madi after sledding down the hill. Elizabeth is to the right with her SpongeBob tube.

Day 120: Could it be?
Yes, it's a genuine Zhu Zhu pet! My nieces and nephew were lucky enough to get one hamster each for Christmas (two from Santa and one from Aunt Gigi). They also got the hamster house and a carrier. This is Chunk, who is being fed a piece of bread by my sister.

Day 119: Oplatek
One Polish tradition we have on Christmas eve is sharing the oplatek. The oplatek is a thin wafer that you break into pieces and share with the people around the table at dinner. My mother luckily found one that she had left over that we used tonight.
