Day 249: Party at Annu's

Our friend Annu invited us over for dinner...it was a nice way to spend a Tuesday evening! Many of our friends are leaving New Haven at the end of the month or the end of the summer as the school year is nearly over. I'm glad we're getting the chance to see them before everyone departs.

Day 239: Baby shower #2

We had our New Haven baby shower and it was a big success.  My cousin Mira, S, and I did a lot of prep and I think everything turned out really well.  It was great to celebrate with our family and friends.

Day 225: The shower

We had a wonderful time at our baby shower.  Lots of great friends, family, food, and fun.  It was a lot of work, but I think it was a big success.

Day 188: SIL arrives and we go to a party

My sister-in-law arrived today from the west coast via Chicago. We went to dinner, and then we were troopers and made it out to Tariq's party (at 9 PM, no less).  Here my sister-in-law is showing Tariq and someone (didn't get her name!) photos on her camera.

Day 177: Tapas party

We were invited to a 'tapas' party where the hosts made sangria and everyone brought a tapas-like dish to share.  It was really nice and people brought loads of great dishes.  We ended up bringing Spanish cheeses and jam, which was so good.  I have the feeling it wasn't pasteurized milk, but I ate a ton anyway (shhhhh).

Day 79: Party

I mainly took this photo to prove I can stay awake past midnight!  After we got back from NYC, we had a quick dinner at home and then went to our friend Tariq's party (he of the blue sweater). We were just saying our goodbyes at this point.

Day 36: Party

I decided we should host a party.  Before I left for the UK and Chicago.  Which meant the only possible day was the Friday before I left for Chicago.  A bit crazy, but that's how I roll.  So we did.  It was a very fun party...I think we ended up having about 30 people all told.  My only complaint is that people didn't drink enough so now I have all this leftover wine and beer.  Oh wait, that's not a complaint.  Okay, I have no complaints.
