I remember eating these cookies all the time when I was a kid. I saw them at the shop when we were getting something for breakfast, and I couldn't resist. They were not as good as I remembered, but it was fun to try them again!

Day 259: Flashback
I remember eating these cookies all the time when I was a kid. I saw them at the shop when we were getting something for breakfast, and I couldn't resist. They were not as good as I remembered, but it was fun to try them again!

Day 93: Jackpot
We took the parents and my aunt to the Sands Casino here in Bethlehem. I wasn't going to play any games but I did decide to take a chance on a 5-cent machine. After a few turns, it got stuck...the reels would not stop spinning! We had to wait for an employee to come and fix it. After that, I won a bonus and made $12! So I quit there and took my winnings home.

Day 23: My new butter crock
My mom was very sweet and picked up this Le Creuset butter crock for me. You put the butter in the top part, and then place it in the bottom which has cold water in it (up to the fill line). Then you leave it out and I guess the water keeps the butter fresh by creating a seal. It's cool! We used it for the first time during breakfast.

Day 14: Postcards once more
A visit back to a post from last year, when I had just a few dancing postcards on the wall next to my computer at the office. Now I've got a few more, plus other assorted postcards and memorabilia. There are a few more at home that I've yet to bring in.
Day 13: Still Life with Lobster
Tonight we took my parents (who are visiting from Chicago) to our favorite ice cream place, Wentworth's, for some ice cream after dinner. At Wentworth's, they have this little table where people are meant to leave things for others to take. We took a look at it after our ice cream, and lo and behold, I found this tiny French vintage puzzle! It doesn't have a picture of what it is meant to be, but it is labeled as Eugene Delacroix's Still Life with Lobster. I found the painting on the net so I can make the puzzle (I hope)...I can't wait to put it together!
Here is some more information I've found about the maker of these puzzles...
