Day 3: East Rock monument

We didn't want to waste what could be the last gorgeous day of summer, so we hiked up East Rock.  I'm so out of shape!  Here's the monument at the top.  They're doing a restoration of it.

Day 2: Pilot Pen action

We decided to get tickets to the Pilot Pen tournament this year, seeing as it's right down the road and we'd never watched professional tennis live before. The day was rainy and grey, but eventually the weather cleared enough for them to dry out the courts and have the finals on center court. This is Fernando Verdasco celebrating his win over Sam Querrey.
